Douglas Norman FranzBorn Sept. 11, 1949 and passed away Sept 30, 2012 with his wife at his side after a brief illness. Doug is survived by his loving wife Martha, daughter Julie, son Chris, sister Carolyn Brophy and her children, Luke and Karla, and a devoted circle of friends. Doug was a 1975 UW graduate. His passions were golf and Husky Football. Doug served two tours in Viet Nam and was honorably discharged in 1971 as a Staff Sgt. and decorated soldier. Doug was a compassionate and loving husband, father and friend. He led by example, lived by the Golden Rule and his memory is cherished by those he loved. A memorial service will be held October 15, 2012 at 1 pm at University Presbyterian Church, 4540 15th Ave NE, Seattle.
